As lockdown eases and many people’s lives and working patterns change, there is a need to increase our roster of volunteers.
We currently need volunteers for the following:
- Drivers – we deliver to those vulnerable or with mobility problems on a Friday from 12 noon, this is normally an hour or two of deliveries and fuel expenses will be paid if required. If you can give your time please contact us asap
- Admin – apart from the work that’s visible onsite we offer a service throughout the week to support our users via phone and email. There are a variety of tasks that are covered and a rota of volunteers who look after the back office. If you are able to donate a few hours one day a week we’d love to hear from you.
- Onsite Volunteers Fridays – For deliveries we need people who can pack and sort through donations between 9.30am and 12.30pm
- Onsite Volunteers Saturdays – For our open sessions, we need to people to support the operations and to run the foodbank smoothly for a few hours on a Saturday between 10.30am and 1pm
With all roles we provide training and support and in most cases posts are shared and flexible so you don’t have to be there every week.
The more volunteers we have the more we can share what we do and ensure commitments are kept to a minimum, please share with your network and anyone you think may be interested in helping out.
